One baby girl to go, please....

Awwww! Natalia Vodianova has finally given birth to her baby! Neva Vodianova (or would that be Portman from her father?) is a bouncing, blonde 7lb baby girl (not to mention a tall one, according to the full report) of whom it is said to be wished by her parents that she become a ballerina! The whole thing is just too adorable for words! ♥

My love of leopard....

Oh.My.God. I FOUND SOME LEOPARD PRINT SHOES!!!!! IN TOPSHOP!!!!! AND THEY'RE ONLY £28!!!!! *sigh* I'm in leopard heaven! They're amazing and I am personally going to ensure that I get them at ALL costs! I've also seen this amazingly cute Chanel-style spin-off white quilted and gold chain clutch in Warehouse which I'd die for - it's so fabulous! It's only £12 and I am definitely going to have it! Wow......retail therapy soothes the soul, I swear......♥

Alternative Fashion Week

So it's Alternative Fashion Week in London at ce moment! The outfits actually aren't half as bad as I was predicting them to be, but some are still.....interesting. These pics are from Fiona Todd's collection and are two of the best oufits in my opinion - but then again, I'm not really an alternative fashion sort of girl so that's why they're not too out-there.



This one has a cute sailor-girl vibe sort of thing. The neck-line and belt really break up the would-be monotony of the dress - not to mention the radio and sunglasses! And also I love the way that the whole thing is brightened up by some classic bright red lipstick - á la this season's Prada ads!

More red lipstick! Maybe it's just an alternative fashion thing?! But I also love how it's matched with the patent-leather red belt and bows made from "old invitations". Not one I'll be trying soon I don't think. But on the whole - very impressive! These people know how to mix it up, non?! ♥

So......the theme: leopard print dresses! But when is the theme not leopard print?! Ah, well - I simply cannot quell my deep over-ruling passion for it! Y'know I saw this 6th former today who had this leopard shirt on and fabulous leopard pumps (they looked like the Karen Millen ones I want) and I couldn't stop staring in awe! I must, must have them before this season is over! It would just be completely unacceptable not to own something that fab!


So, here is a leopard dress (v.nice - I think it may be the Roberto Cavalli one?) as worn by Jessica Alba (at least I think it's her!) at the Dolce & Gabbana show *sigh* I must either own one or get over my leopard thing A.S.A.P. otherwise I am going to be completely over-run with jealously for anyone else I see who has one!


This is the Moschino one on the runway - tres formidable I think you'll agree! I must have a leopard print dress! ♥

An evening with Meg and Tom


For the first time in ages tonight I watched 'Sleepless in Seattle' *sigh* It's such a good movie and I forgot that! I've only ever watched it about two or three times in my life and on this one I didn't even watch it the whole way through :( but still, it was gooood! I also forgot how much I love Meg Ryan as well, I mean, she's done so many movies and she and Julia Roberts just epitomise the '90s romantic-comedy genre. Wish I had it on tape or DVD or something because I've forgotten so much of the full story and what happened and sometimes, y'know, it's nice to watch a film all the way through! There were some really random bits that I didn't remember, but then again, they just made watching it all the more fun! I'm in such a '90s mood tonight - watching that and then I was listening to Celine Dion and Mariah Carey earlier on - the divas of the '90s! ♥

Is she? Isn't she? Make up your mind Lindsay!

I'm so confused about all this Lindsay Lohan crap that's been going around! I mean, first she's modelling for Chanel and everyone was speculating about that - but now, apparantly, she's modelling for Louis Vuitton! Which is it?! Come on Lindsay - make your mind up! We saw all those pics with her covered head-to-toe in Chanel as if she was endorsing it but we never actually saw any pictures of her advertising the brand and now it's been reported that she's doing a stint for Louis! I suppose the tabloids are going to be full with images of her flaunting more of her wealth by her new found love for Louis Vuitton bags?! Some people just have it all don't they? She was even quoted saying something as dense as:

"I love Chanel. I was doing a photoshoot for the brand today - I think it was for an advert?!"

Pff! Don't even know what you're doing the job for Lindsay? Get out of it. ♥

The Oscars

So 'The Oscars' was the place to be the other night mes amies! Although, to be honest, no-one really gave a crap about who won what, it was more about who wore what! Am I right? Anyway, because I do not have the time nor the energy to recite a whole long list of names, designers and dress descriptions, I shall make it short and sweet for those of you who do not have many minutes to spare!


Okay, so basically, Keira Knightly won the best dressed award in stunning wine-coloured custom Vera Wang and a choker of a Bulgari 1960's vintage diamond necklace, whereas Charlize Theoron got a few funny looks in her OTT monstrosity of a John Galliano dress (no surprise there, then). With it's huge bow, ghastly shade of green and strange draping it won hands down the 'What in God's name were you thinking?' award.


Although it has to be said, Reese Witherspoon did give Keira a run for her money in the style stakes as she pulled out the big guns dressed in sensational 1955 vintage Christian Dior! (But, well, I guess she won the Oscar in the end so it was only fair - you can't have eveything!) ♥

Yes, yes - I am one of the few people who like them (excluding 9-year-old girls)

Y'know, no matter what anyone else says about the Olsens; I like them. I mean they have so much stick from the media and everything and especially Mary-kate for the whole drugs scandal and anorexia/rehab thing, but I think for now they deserve to be left alone. And plus (something else people criticise) they have fabulous fashion sense! They have amazing vintage dresses and accessories and they know what looks good on them! (And they know where to find them - the sign of a true vintage princess).
And I for one think it's awesome that they have the advertising contract with Badgley Mischka - I'm sure they'll do the clothes much justice!

But I was just saying. *sniff* ♥

Update

Hey again! So back to school this week - how depressing! I think everyone's starting to feel the pressure already and we've only been back for two days! So I just so happen to have given up not exercising for lent (you have to give up something you like!) and so tomorrow, I'm off to the gym and I'm planning to take up swimming sometime soon! So I think I'm actually making progress this time in the fitness area of my life! Which is good - it's just a shame the rest of it is such a shambles sometimes.


On the fashion side of things (to take my mind off everything), aren't these Juicy Couture earrings just so adorable? Makes me wish I had my ears pierced so I could have them! (Yeah, I know - "Who doesn't have their ears pierced?!" Well, me if you must know.)
